Car Park Check

Initial Parking parking charges

Initial Parking manages pay-and-display and camera-controlled car parks, including several seaside and tourist car parks in Cornwall. Its charges are usually posted to the registered keeper and based on camera entry and exit times, so time spent queueing counts. Appeals it rejects can go to POPLA.

How to appeal a Initial Parking charge

  1. Appeal to Initial Parking within 28 days of the notice. Paying within 14 days usually gets a discount, so decide early.
  2. If it rejects your appeal, it must give you a verification code for POPLA, because Initial Parking is a member of the BPA.
  3. Appeal to POPLA. It's free for drivers. See our POPLA guide.

We name operators factually and have no link to Initial Parking. Its own site is www.initialparking.co.uk.
