Doncaster Royal Infirmary is a hospital car park serving Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT in Doncaster, on Armthorpe Road (DN2 5LT). Parking here is managed by Saba Park Services UK, a private operator and member of the British Parking Association (BPA), so a ticket from this car park is a private Parking Charge Notice, not a council fine.
Saba Park Services UK enforces the rules at Doncaster Royal Infirmary using ANPR cameras at the entrance and exit, backed up by patrolling attendants. If you got a charge here it will usually have arrived by post, addressed to the registered keeper, and the times on it are camera times, not the time you parked.
The rules at Doncaster Royal Infirmary
There is no free period at Doncaster Royal Infirmary: you pay from the moment you arrive.
The tariff we recorded is: Charges apply 8:30am to 7:30pm every day: £2.00 up to 1 hour, £3.20 up to 2 hours, £4.70 up to 4 hours, £6.80 up to 6 hours, £8.90 daily. Free overnight 7:30pm to 8:30am.. You can pay by pay and display machines (cash or card). Because the cameras match payments to your registration, the registration you enter has to match your vehicle exactly.
Part of the car park is set aside for permit holders. Parking in a permit bay without a permit is one of the commonest reasons for charges here, so check which bay you were in.
Saba runs the Infirmary's patient and visitor car parks, which are spread across several gates off Armthorpe Road, plus the Women's and Children's car park. Prices went up on 1 October 2025. In August 2026 the Women's and Children's car park changed from paying at the exit to buying a ticket on arrival and displaying it, which is catching out regular visitors. Concessions apply for renal, cancer, intensive care, palliative and neonatal patients and their families, and for Blue Badge holders and some frequent outpatients; ask ward staff to arrange it, since concession plates go onto Saba's camera list. A free Park and Ride runs on weekdays from Doncaster Racecourse to Gate 3 if spaces on site are full. Avoid parking on the surrounding streets, where the council has been ticketing.

If you were at Doncaster Royal Infirmary for a hospital visit
Appointments at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT often run late, and an overrunning medical appointment is a reason the government code says a charge must be cancelled. Ask the department for a letter or a copy of your appointment record showing the time you were seen.
If you hold a Blue Badge, or were visiting someone critically ill, check the hospital's own concessions too: many NHS trusts offer free or reduced parking to some patients and visitors, and the trust can ask Saba Park Services UK to cancel a charge.
Common reasons charges here get cancelled
- You paid, but something went wrongPaying with a typo in your registration, or when pay and display machines (cash or card) failed, is covered by the codes. Send your payment record; a minor keying error should lead to cancellation.
- You had a permit but it wasn't visibleIf you hold a valid permit for Doncaster Royal Infirmary but it wasn't on display, the charge should be cancelled or reduced. Send a copy of the permit.
- Reported at this car parkConfusion after the Women's and Children's car park switched from pay on exit to pay and display in August 2026, so some drivers do not buy a ticket on arrival
- Reported at this car parkTickets not displayed clearly, or bought for less time than the appointment actually took
- Reported at this car parkPatients entitled to a concession (renal, cancer, critical care, neonatal) not having their registration added before parking
- Signs you couldn't reasonably seeThe terms are a contract formed by the signs at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. If the entrance sign was missing, hidden or unreadable, photograph it from the driver's position; the codes set rules for size, placement and wording.
