Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park) is a leisure car park serving Sheffield City Council (Olympic Legacy Park campus) in Sheffield, on Worksop Road, Attercliffe (S9 3TL). Parking here is managed by Hozah, a private operator and member of the British Parking Association (BPA), so a ticket from this car park is a private Parking Charge Notice, not a council fine.

Hozah enforces the rules at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park) using number-plate recognition (ANPR) cameras that log the time you drive in and out. If you got a charge here it will usually have arrived by post, addressed to the registered keeper, and the times on it are camera times, not the time you parked.

The rules at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park)

You can park free for 30 minutes.

The tariff we recorded is: First 30 minutes free at all times. Mon-Fri 8am-6pm: up to 2 hours £1, up to 4 hours £2, up to 8 hours £3, up to 10 hours £4. Evenings after 6pm and weekends: £1 flat rate after the free 30 minutes.. You can pay by online via Hozah (pay.hozah.com, location 1117) and Hozah AutoPay account (register your vehicle in advance). Because the cameras match payments to your registration, the registration you enter has to match your vehicle exactly.

Charges started on 1 September 2026 across the Olympic Legacy Park car parks off Worksop Road and Leeds Road. The campus includes the English Institute of Sport, the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) and other sports venues. The first half hour is still free. Staff and visitors are sent to the Worksop Road car park (S9 3TL). Between 8am and 6pm on weekdays, the Leeds Road car park (S9 3TU) is kept for NHS patients and opens to everyone else in the evenings and at weekends. Hallam University's AWRC guidance says Blue Badge holders still have to pay at Worksop Road, and that the centre won't take responsibility for charges if visitors don't register their car. Payment is through Hozah, so check the Hozah location page before you go. If the venue you were visiting can confirm your attendance, include that when you appeal.

About the notice

How to appeal a charge at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park)

  1. Don't ignore it. Note the date on the notice: you normally have 28 days to appeal to Hozah, and 14 days to pay at the reduced rate if you decide to pay.
  2. Gather evidence: photos of the signs and where you parked at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park), receipts, payment records, and anything that explains why you stayed longer.
  3. Appeal to Hozah in writing. Keep to the facts and keep a copy. If you were not driving, you don't have to say who was.
  4. If Hozah rejects your appeal, it must give you a code to appeal to POPLA, the independent appeals service for BPA members. POPLA appeals are free, and you have 28 days from the rejection to use the code.

If you were at a film, class or match

Films, classes and fixtures can run over the free time. Your booking confirmation or ticket shows when it started and ended, which is useful evidence.

Some leisure sites give longer free parking if you enter your registration on a terminal inside. If you missed that step, the government code caps the charge at £20 once it applies.

Common reasons charges here get cancelled

  • A few minutes over the limitThe cameras time your whole visit, from the entrance to the exit. With a 30 minutes limit at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park), an overstay of up to about 15 minutes is often inside the consideration and grace periods the code requires.
  • You paid, but something went wrongPaying with a typo in your registration, or when online via Hozah (pay.hozah.com, location 1117) and Hozah AutoPay account (register your vehicle in advance) failed, is covered by the codes. Send your payment record; a minor keying error should lead to cancellation.
  • Reported at this car parkThere are no barriers, so drivers who don't register or pay online after their visit can get a charge without noticing anything at the time
  • Reported at this car parkPeople mix up the two car parks: on weekdays Leeds Road is for NHS patients only, so visitors should use Worksop Road
  • Reported at this car parkCharges only started on 1 September 2026, so regular visitors used to free parking get caught out
  • Signs you couldn't reasonably seeThe terms are a contract formed by the signs at Olympic Legacy Park (Worksop Road car park). If the entrance sign was missing, hidden or unreadable, photograph it from the driver's position; the codes set rules for size, placement and wording.
